The Oxford Inheritance

The Oxford Inheritance was a fun, fast fictional-thriller novel that I thought was fairly enjoyable though most reviews of the book would say otherwise. The novel was fast-paced and of course had a romantic love triangle between the mysterious bad boy, the quirky good guy, and the determined young woman. I found myself to hate and love the protagonist when she made any decision, because until the end, she always chose the worst decision possible. Along with her terrible decision making, she was continuously determined to discover what happened to her mother, and staged an elaborate plan (that almost failed) to do so, eventually almost dying in the process. However, she had a likable personality and understood what it meant to be kind. Like every romance novel, she does eventually pick the guy who doesn't try to kill her. It took her one crazy semester to figure out the mystery, but as a reader I was riding along with her.
